This building was purchased from Westminster Presbyterian Church and later sold when the congregation moved and built on 47th and Douglas in 1963. Unfortunately, this old church building burned down in 1970. https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5d94e8f3b06c703e5199ebe2/1570155690974-9IHCYS85EM8P5GN6C2PO/1915838_1224058030956818_7597717645162117150_n.jpg Our Story The church building on 47th and Douglas. We are in transition to move to our permanent home at 4931 Douglas Ave in Des Moines! We’re aiming to hold our first service there on October 18th, 2026. Find us next to Donut Hut. https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5d94e8f3b06c703e5199ebe2/37ebe7b1-4467-4dd0-a296-88a8f49fd8ca/IMG_4178.jpg Home New - We are neighbors. Each Sunday, we gather to hear from God and respond to his grace. Our worship follows a simple rhythm: we quiet our hearts, sing praise, read Scripture, and share stories of God’s work in our lives. We worship through giving and hear a sermon that invites us to live out God’s Word. We respond in prayer and gather at the Lord’s Table to receive Communion each week. Then, with a closing song, we are sent into our neighborhoods to join God in the renewal of all things. https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5d94e8f3b06c703e5199ebe2/e1dbe672-2021-4d31-bd36-35043f59cbae/IMG_0174+2.jpg Home New - We value presence with children. As much as possible, we like to include children in our worship. Many times you’ll see children serving in worship. Even so, we recognize the importance for children to have their own time of learning when we gather. Prior to the sermon, kids will be sent to their room for a small snack, lesson, and games. Children are welcomed back into the the sanctuary as we prepare for the Table.
